Â鶹AV Student Health Center's Counseling Center offers confidential therapy to all currently enrolled Â鶹AV and LIT students. All services provided in person or virtually through Zoom and in person are secure.

Topics discussed with your counselor are private and will not be disclosed to anyone else without your permission unless you are in danger of hurting yourself or others.

What to Expect for Your Counseling Appointment

Be early! Arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete questionnaires and forms during check-in.

Stay a bit. The first appointment is 1 hour. This is called an intake appointment, which is different than future appointments. You and the counselor will get to know one another before deep diving into your problems.

Book your next appt before leaving - Subsequent appointments will be 45-50 minutes.

PLEASE NOTE:

An appointment fee of $10 will be billed to your Banner account. No payment at the time of the appointment! 

Don't miss your appointment! Please call if you need to reschedule. Failure to cancel 24 hours in advance, or failing to attend your appointment, will result in a $25.00 no-show fee billed to your student account.

Mindful Cardinals

This Spring, our counselors invite you to Mindful Cardinals, informational sessions for first-gen students, but all are welcome, seeking guidance on Self-Care, Coping Skills, Relaxation, & Self-Esteem. Sessions begin February 10. Seats are still available, so call 409-880-8466 to reserve your spot.
