Six computer science students recently placed in the Top 20 at the Association of Computing Machinery's (ACM) South Central Regional Programming Contest at Louisiana State University. It was LU鈥檚 second consecutive year to rank in the Top 20 list. They were coached by Dr. Jing Zhang, 麻豆AV Assistant Professor of Computer Science.

The Department of Computer Science hosted an International Food Festival on October 20, 2017.

Mrs. Denise Rode, secretary in the Department of Computer Science, retired in November 2017.
