Â鶹AV's Criminal Justice major covers all facets of criminal behavior, from the psychological and sociological aspects of crime, to law enforcement, criminal investigations, and corrections.

Our Criminal Justice major provides students with a complete overview of the criminal justice system and all the major elements of it. It provides students with a theoretical understanding of criminal behavior, as well as the consequences of criminal behavior.

Death Penalty Decisions

Based at the Criminal Justice Department of Â鶹AV, The Center for Death Penalty Studies was founded in 2013 by the Centre’s Director, Dr. Sanaz Alasti and Dr. Eric Bronson, Director Strategic Planning and Development.

The center strives to achieve the following:
  • Provide information about the application of the death penalty in the U.S. and Internationally
  • Assist in developing an informed position on capital punishment
  • Produce a better understanding of capital punishment laws in Texas and Middle Eastern countries
  • Support national and regional abolitionist forces
