Â鶹AV's Department of University Studies offers both a Bachelor of Science. University Studies comprises various concentrations that allow you to custom-tailor your coursework to suit your needs. You must have a concentration to major in University Studies. You have the option to do the traditional 15-week on-campus course or the eight-week online course.

Earning a bachelor's degree in University Studies provides you with flexible online and on-campus learning, enables you to custom-tailor your course work, maximizes earned hours in order to expedite graduation and allows you the opportunity to use technical OR prior experimental learning credit to satisfy degree requirements.

University Studies Courses You May Take

Lifelong Learning and Portfolio Development: Required of all students who pursue completion of the BAAS and BGS degree programs. This course lays the foundation for the program of study by investigating current issues in the philosophy of higher education, namely: establishing academic, personal, and professional goals for degree completion; introducing students to the portfolio process; and helping students to improve their abilities to think critically and to communicate more effectively.

Senior Seminar: Required of all students who pursue completion of the BAAS and BGS degree programs. This course completes the assessment of the personal, educational, and professional goals and outcomes set forth in AASC 3301. Students will enroll in this class during their final semester of coursework.

Professional Writing: Supervised preparation of professional reports according to standard usage recommended by professional societies.
