The Â鶹AV Thematic MBA concentration is a tailored degree in which you choose the theme of your elective courses. To pursue a Thematic concentration, you will develop your own plan of study. The purpose of this flexibility is to provide a concentration that can be tailored more closely to your personal and professional goals.

This program allows you to design a custom degree for the future you choose. You build your MBA theme on the foundational curriculum in management, leadership and finance. This AACSB fully-accredited program is designed for you as a working professional who wishes to advance your business career without having to leave your current position. MBA students with undergraduate business degrees can earn their degree in just 14-18 months.

Thematic Courses You May Take

Managerial Accounting: Application of accounting data in decision making: cost analysis as applied in the development of budgets and standards; accounting as a tool for cost control and pricing; case problems, using the micro-computer as a decision-making tool, which require students to interpret and discuss their analysis in the context of managerial decision-making.

Managerial Economics: A study in the depth of the principles and techniques of economic analysis applicable to the problems of business management.

Financial Management: A study of the financial policy of business firms along with the theory supporting that policy. Topics include capital budgeting, capital structure, cost of capital, dividend policy, and management of working capital, as well as the unique international dimensions of the financial policy of multinational firms.

Strategic Management: This course draws upon all of the MBA core courses and stresses interdisciplinary application of their content. Strategic management emphasizes that company success depends upon the formulation and execution of strategy. This class teaches the process of strategy analysis and develops student’s ability to think strategically.

Marketing Management: An intensive study of specific marketing concepts and theories. Marketing strategies for the national and multinational firms are surveyed. Emphasis is placed on reading from current journals and other related publications.
