Three �鶹AV students have been awarded $10,000 from the Joy and Will Crenshaw fellowship as they kick off their journey as classroom teachers.

�鶹AV counseling student, Jennifer Russell, placed first in an online national essay competition hosted by the American Counseling Association. 

The Reaud Honors College is proud to announce their inaugural award recipients recognizing Honors Students of the Year and Honors Faculty of Distinction.

�鶹AV’s President Jaime Taylor has announced over 800 students to the Spring 2024 President’s List and over 900 students Spring 2024 to the Dean's List.

�鶹AV held its spring commencement ceremony at the Montage Center on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11, recognizing the achievements of its graduates, and conferring over 2,000 degrees.  

In February, the �鶹AV Police Department (LUPD) brought a new member to the force, and the Catahoula Leopard dog named Derrick who provides emotional support to crime victims and students.

Dr. Kathryn Washington, advisor of the Collegiate 100 (C100) and educational leadership professor, received the Dr. Melvin Brust Advisor of the Year award during this year’s Toast to Leadership award ceremony. 

Glen W. Morgan, managing partner of Reaud, Morgan & Quinn, L.L.P., has been given the title of Southeast Texas Legend by �鶹AV.

�鶹AV invites students of all ages to a variety of summer camps to be held on campus this summer. Camps are offered for various ages and interests with daily and residential opportunities.

Dr. Robert Kelley Bradley, assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, has been awarded the Faculty Mentoring Award by the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) for his exceptional dedication to mentoring undergraduate students in research endeavors.

Representatives from Golden Pass LNG visited �鶹AV on Friday, May 3 to present a generous donation of $8,000 to LU’s biology department.   

�鶹AV's resurgent AIAA chapter excelled in the NASA University Student Launch Initiative, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and technical prowess while fostering a strong sense of community and passion for aerospace exploration.

The Center for Teaching and Learning Enhancement held a pinning ceremony to honor 45 current and former �鶹AV faculty members who successfully completed the Certificate in Effective Teaching Practice Framework through the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE).
