LU alumnus turns love into fashion with Dos Corazonez

In the words of Julian Stevens, founder of Dos Corazonez, "Dos Corazonez is more than just a brand; it's a tribute to my mother's love and legacy." Stevens, an alumnus of Â鶹AV ('16) and a member of the Zeta Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., poured his heart and soul into creating a fashion line embodying familial affection and resilience. COB DC Clothing Photo

Dos Corazonez emerged in the aftermath of a tragic loss. In 2020, Stevens' mother, Diane Crosby, also an LU alumna ('99/'00), succumbed to breast cancer. Fueled by love and inspired by his mother's memory, Stevens embarked on a mission to commemorate her legacy and honor her affection for her two sons.

Reflecting on his journey, Stevens said, "After losing my mother to cancer, I knew I had to channel my grief into something meaningful." Thus, Dos Corazonez was born. The name, meaning "Two Hearts" in Spanish, pays homage to Stevens' cultural heritage and his mother, whose initials are shared with the brand.

DC Owner"Dos Corazonez stands for more than just fashion," Stevens said. "It's about empowering those who have experienced loss and showing that beauty can emerge from pain." Each piece bears the imprint of cherished memories shared with his mother, transcending mere apparel to become a vessel for healing and self-expression.

From its humble beginnings online to its presence in Parkdale Mall, Dos Corazonez has captured the hearts of shoppers seeking style with substance. "We want our customers to feel empowered and confident," Stevens said. "Dos Corazonez is there to help them stand out and make a statement."

Indeed, Dos Corazonez is more than a clothing brand; it's a testament to the enduring power of love and the resilience of the human spirit. Through his work, Julian Stevens reminds us that even in the darkest of times, love always shines through.
