Conference Information:

The Third International Criminal Justice Reform Conference, hosted by the Center for Death Penalty Studies at Â鶹AV. This event will bring together leading scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss innovative strategies for addressing pressing issues in both regional and international levels. This year’s conference will address some of the most pressing and thought-provoking issues in criminal justice reform. 

Key topics will include: 

  • Humane alternatives to cruel and unusual punishments, with a particular focus on viable replacements for the death penalty and corporal punishment (e.g., whipping). 
  • Comprehensive prison reform strategies, including critical discussions on the future of prison abolition.
